Research interests

Information retrieval

Language models and cross-modal learning that connect neurophysiological measures with textual information systems for neuro-adaptive information access.

Human-computer interaction

Production-ready systems combining temporal signal processing with interpretable machine learning for real-world neurophysiological HCI applications.

Brain-computer interfaces & signal processing

Representation learning and multimodal data fusion for EEG, fMRI, MEG, ECG, and eye tracking, with interests in semantic information extraction and time series forecasting.

Experience

Microsoft Research

Research intern / Redmond, Washington, United States

  • Developed signal-processing methods with the Audio & Acoustics group and BCI team, using physiological signals as objective measures of audio quality and listening effort.
  • Designed models to extract perceptual and cognitive correlates from neurophysiological and physiological data.
  • Collaborated on reproducible, deployable experimental pipelines.

University of Strathclyde

Research associate / Glasgow, United Kingdom

  • Led research with BAE Systems and DSTL on pilot safety through real-time EEG, ECG, and eye-tracking analysis for mental workload classification.
  • Designed a real-time system combining a masked autoencoder for denoising and a recurrent neural network for workload classification.
  • Conducted validation studies for operational applications.

University of Strathclyde

Lead teaching assistant / Glasgow, United Kingdom

  • Delivered practical labs for over 100 MSc students in Machine Learning and Big Data, in person and online.
  • Provided technical guidance and feedback on coursework and examinations.
